Yesterday I collected a 19th century family portrait in oils, which Alan had cleaned and restored. He also
replaced lost moulding on the frame and brought it back to its original splendour. I am delighted with the
quality of Alan's work, which he completed within the time he had estimated. He also gave me some
interesting background about the artist. The picture now glows as it hangs on the wall, and I am sure will
be a treasured possession of the subject's great, great grandson, to whom the picture has been given.
